DuoTec Fischer dowel
Nylon clamping plug, enables achieving high load-bearing capacities in board materials.
Advantages
Universal fastening enabling the use of screws with hooks or rods with different thread shapes.
The plug is made of glass fibre reinforced plastic and a metal skeleton (fischer DuoTec 12), which enables the transfer of high tensile and shear loads in board materials.
The tilting arm presses against the rear surface of the board and thus minimises weakening of the substrate material.
Standard hole diameters and a short tilting arm ensure easy installation in narrow empty spaces, including spaces insulated with mineral wool.
The white sleeve is countersunk and locked flush with the board surface, which enables quick and safe pre-installation of the plug.
The scale on the handle (fischer DuoTec 12) helps to determine the required screw length (scale value + 20 mm).
The unique operating principle and geometry of the fischer DuoTec plug enable easy transfer of high tensile and shear loads. Easy installation due to the small 10 mm diameter hole and short swivel arm, which enables installation in small empty spaces or with insulating filling. Pre-installation without the risk of the plug falling into the hole, even if it does not have a screw. The fixing does not damage or weaken the plasterboard. The swivel arm automatically locks into place at the back of the board, which affects the good fixing. The clamping plug can be used with screws in wooden boards or with chipboard screws, as well as with metric screws or threaded rods with nuts. If solid building material is encountered during drilling, the plug can function as a normal expansion plug.
